General Information
Check in and Check Out Times: Check-in is 3:00 pm and Check-out is 11:00 am. Check-in past 9:00 pm is by appointment. We appreciate if you can let us know of your approximate time of arrival. Please ask us for late check-out arrangements to leave bags with us until later that same day .
Deposits and Cancellation: A Credit Card number is required to hold the reservation. Cancellation is made with less than three 3 weeks written notice, will be billed the nightly room rate if the boat is not rebooked for those nights. Reservations cancelled with more than three 3 weeks notice shall be subject to a $50 administrative fee. No Shows’ and early departures are subject to full payment for all nights reserved.
Parking: Public parking is available in the parking lot across the street and just east of our slip. We will send you directions with your confirmation. Parking is $15 which allows you in-and-out privileges.
Driving & Streetcar Directions: We will send you driving and parking and streetcar directions with your reservation confirmation. It’s easy to get to this Toronto B&B.
Airports: Toronto has two airports 1.) Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (10 minute walk to the Boatel) Porter and Air Canada 2.) Lester B Pearson International Airport (20 to 30 minute drive to downtown Toronto)
Breakfast & Meals: Gourmet breakfast is served from 7:00 to 9:30 am. Gluten Free, Vegan, Fit for Life, or health-wise breakfasts are also available upon request. Please advise us of any allergies or dietary restrictions in advance. We are not licensed to sell alcoholic beverages however you may bring your own alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. If you book the whole boat then please ask us about dinner reservations on the boat.
Boat Access: Guests are given full access to the boat with the exception of the captain’s quarters, engine room and galley. Guests have access to the fridge on the sundeck however our galley kitchen is not for guest use. Access is limited to the registered guests, please refrain from inviting any additional guests aboard without our permission.
Boat Charters: We do not do charters on Lake Ontario. The boat remains at dock at all times while guests are onboard. We can arrange for a public or private day charters for you.
Children & Pets : Well behaved children are welcome (8 years or older). All guests must strictly adhere to safety issues on the boat. Due to allergies of other visiting guests we do not permit pets on board.
Smoking & Cuban Cigars: smoking is not permitted inside at any time. Guests wishing to smoke may do so on the outside decks in a safe manner. Please ask for an ashtray. Hola! Cuban cigars are available upon request!
Luggage & Shoes: Soft collapsible luggage is highly recommended for easy stowage. Please make arrangement in advance for any large or hard-sided luggage. The interior is all mahogany so we ask you to respect the care we give to the wood interior. No outside shoes inside the boat please.
Boatel Hats: Signature “Boatel” hats are now available for sale at a cost of $15 each or 2 for $25. A great souvenir of your Boatel stay.
Kayak & Bike Rentals: Our Sea Eagle Inflatable Kayak is available for rental during your stay. $25 per hour or $50 for the full day. Various options for bike rentals are available.
Concierge Services: As the most unique Toronto bed and breakfast we are your ambassadors to the city, please ask us about spa services, flowers and champagne, birthday cakes, tickets, dinner or theatre reservations, water taxi and many other services the city has to offer. Upon arrival a welcome package including maps and local information awaits you.
