ast maybe one of North America’s best kept travel secrets. Image spending the night aboard a sailboat, former tug boat or a private motor yacht and watching an incredible sunset? Or waking up to a spectactular sunrise with the smooth water glimmering at the marina. Whether you call them a “boatel”, “dockside accommodations”,” boat and bed”, “bed and breakfast afloat”, they all have the same thing in common – they offer the opportunity to experience life on the water’s edge, to be gentle rocked to sleep. Some offer the harbour cruises where others due to regulatory restrictions remain dockside.
People often ask us where the other Boatels are located. We’ve done some research to find cities hosting these floating Boatels and here’s what we found. There are a number of them available for rental throughout the United States. I have limited the search criteria to: sailboats, tug boats, trawlers or a private motor yachts. I have excluded houseboats in this list and have not included charter boat that primarily do chartering.

She is a very lovely schooner and would be amazing to do a sunset sail.

This is a private party yacht accommodating up to six guests, with a continental breakfast left for you. Cruises of Boston Harbor and dinners are available upon request, during your stay. We have personally stayed on the Golden Slipper while in Boston and loved the access to downtown historic Boston. We would definately recommend this one while in Boston.
