Last Minute Mother’s Day Gift

Mothers Day heartMother’s Day is May 11, 2014 and on this day we salute and thank our mothers for all the love and knowledge they have shared with us. Being a mom isn’t always easy job, the hours are long but the rewards are many.

There are lots of ways to say I Love you mom that won’t cost you much except for your time. Perhaps a hand-made card, a plant to put in her garden that will remind her of you every time it blooms, breakfast in bed, a small bouquet of wild flowers you handpicked or a poem to show how much you appreciate her. Of course the best gift is to spend time with your mom. One of my favorite memories is taking my mom belly dancing. We had so much fun and with digital cameras we have a keepsake that will last forever.

mom and me belly dancingTravelling together is the ultimate way to spend some quality time with mom. Last year Kristen and Corrine traveled to Toronto to spent the weekend on the Boatel together. It was definitely a memorable weekend because we had a flash flood and and power outage during their stay. But the best place to stay in a flood is on a boat, remember the Noah’s Ark?
