Orange Pecan French Toast Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter, melted

1/2 cup white sugar

½ cup Pecans

2 Tbsp grated orange peel

2 tsp organic cinnamon

6-8 slices French bread sliced about ¾ inch thick

8 eggs

1 cup orange

2 Tbsp Triple Sec or Grand Marnier

1.) Melt butter in a small saucepan and spread in 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Mix sugar, pecans, orange zest and cinnamon. Sprinkle over butter, arranging pecans evenly. Place sliced bread over mixture. In a bowl mix eggs, orange juice, Triple Sec and spread over bread soaking all of the bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

2.) In the morning remove dish from refrigerator for 20 to 30 minutes before baking. Warning: A cold dish in a hot oven may break! Bake uncovered for 30 minutes. To serve flip the pieces of bread upside down so that the pecans are face up. Serve with maple syrup if desired. You can also serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

Enjoy. Let me know if you LIKE it.
