Elopement is trendy and a great way to reduce both cost and stress of a big wedding. A simple private wedding ceremony on the Boatel is a unique and exciting way of getting married in Toronto.
Our Toronto Elopement package includes the wedding officiate and two witnesses, a few candid photos of your ceremony, the bridal bouquet and groom’s boutonniere, candle light dinner for two complete with a small wedding cake. Breakfast is included during your two night stay and you may also book additional nights for the honeymoon in Toronto.
The private ceremony is held on the Boatel’s sky lounge surrounded by a panoramic view of Toronto or inside in the event of inclement weather. Alternatively you may wish to get married in the beautiful Toronto Music Garden. We like to keep things really simple for you, so we can look after arrangements such as the officiate and witnesses however you may wish to provide your own music and your vows. We can arrange as much or as few of the details as you wish, the option is completely up to you. We are here to make your Toronto elopement as stress free as possible for you. The only thing you do need to take care of is the marriage license which is required to be married in the Province of Ontario. You do not have to be a resident of the province or a Canadian citizen but you will be required to go to City Hall or municipal office to submit your marriage application in person. You will need a completed marriage application along with two pieces of photo identification for each partner and divorce documents, if applicable. A marriage licences in Toronto currently (in 2014) costs $140 and is valid for three months from the date of issue. Same-sex marriages are legal in Ontario and we offer gay-friendly bed and breakfast accommodations.
