Let’s face it there’s a little bit of country in each and every one of us – even if we don’t wish to admit it! So if you want a fun evening to let down your hair and relax, western style, then we recommend you head out to the Rock ‘n’ Horse Saloon at 250 Adelaide Street West in downtown Toronto. The menu is your typical pub grub plus some of their own speciality Cowboy Grub item, an interesting selection of margaritas or their large draft beers on tap.
Of course my favorite part is to saddle up to the bar for a seat in the saddle high-top bar stools.
You catch watch TV on one of their 10+ screens, play some pool or if you are brave you can check out their mechanical bull – that’s right bronco-riding from 8pm–12:30am Wednesday–Saturday, free of charge (you just need to sign a waiver first). You might need to have a Bull Dog (large margarita with a Corona up-side-down) before hand to muster up your courage first. And if you’re really good, you can sign up for the weekly bull riding competition on Thursday nights. If Country Karaoke is thing then join them on Wednesday nights at 8pm. Or if you got your boots on then you join in on the line dancing (I think you can still join in without your cowboy boots!). Giddy–up!
Getting there: Its just a 22 minute walk up Spadina Avenue and turn right to 250 Adelaide. You can take the 510 streetcar and get off at King and walk over to 250 Adelaide Street.
